Take action to divest Nest pensions

Thanks for taking action together to make our workplace pensions fossil free! Whether you’re a Nest member or not, you can take the pledge now:

Make the switch

Once you’ve pledged, you can switch to Nest’s Ethical Fund by logging into your Nest account and following these instructions:

  • From your Dashboard, scroll down to the Quick Links section. In the Retirement Pot section, click the link that says “Additional fund choices”.
  • You’ll be taken to your plan page where you’ll see which fund your pension is currently invested in. Click the button that says “Switch funds”.
  • Choose the Ethical Fund from the list and then click the button that says “Switch to this fund”.

And that’s it, you’ve divested your workplace pension! If you’re not with Nest, you can switch your plan by logging into your workplace pension account and following your provider’s instructions to switch.

If your workplace pension provider does not have an ethical fund, you can drop them an email asking for a fossil free ethical option – and let us know so we can support your efforts to divest your pension! Remember to use and share our online tool to ask your local councillors to publicly support fossil free pensions too.
